[b]32 bit instructions:[/b] [code]1. Open up the Virtual Floppy folder 2. Open vfdwin.exe as administrator. 3. Browse for the driver file vfd.sys included in the Virtual Floppy Folder 4. Click install, then click start. 5. Click the Drive0 tab 6. Change the drive letter to A: 7. Click the open button, and then click create. 8. Browse to the A:\ drive from "my computer" 9. Copy everything inside the key files folder to the A: drive 10. Now you can add the Estimator and Repair.[/code] [u]64 bit instructions.[/u] [code]1. Reboot your computer, when it starts up press F8 repeatedly until safe mode menu comes up. 2. Select "Disable driver signature enforcement" (windows 7) or something similar. 3. Open up the Virtual Floppy folder 4. Open vfdwin.exe as administrator. 5. Now you can add the Estimator and Repair.[/code] [b]NOTE: [/b] (Confirmed Working! Try this 1st!) [code]You do not have to use the virtual floppy, this is not tested by me, but it is worth a shot: You can either use the Virtual Floppy to copy the MOD KEYS to or Insert a USB Key, go to Disk Managemnt & Change the Drive Letter to A: {> Go To Start Menu > Go To Run (If you don't see it as an option, Just Hold Down the Windows Key on your keyboard & hit the letter " R ") > type " diskmgmt.msc " and hit enter >Right click on the drive letter for the USB key, > Choose "Change Drive Letter and Paths..." >Choose " A " from the list. (If you already have a floppy drive in your system, choose letter " B ", if it doesn't read from B Drive {rare occasion}, Change your Floppy drive letter to B then change the USB to A. >Copy the 2 MOD Keys to the USB Key and you should be golden... {Special Thanx to DarknessWars for the above tip}_0[/code] [b]After Getting your key files/floppy set up, begin install:[/b] [code]Mount the install disk and start the install. Use any number in the box and any name for shop name. Once installed, run the app, and add your estimator and repair discs. YOU ONLY NEED TO DO THIS ONCE. Here you have the option to copy all the estimator data to your computer so you do not need to insert/mount the estimator disc always. Mitchell has the ability to look to different drives for different discs, you can set these options when adding the data and estimator discs (screenshots below). You can, for example, set drive G: to Repair 3 and drive H: to Repair 4 and use drive Z: for Estimator for example. Then you do not need to keep mounting/unmounting to the same drive, or keep taking out and putting in DVD's. I HAVE ONLY TESTED USING A SINGLE DRIVE THOUGH, but you should have no problems doing it this way if you want. When you select a car, Mitchell will look to your DVD drive (virtual or physical) for the appropriate disc, if it cannot find it, it will prompt for the proper disc, simply insert or mount the disc and it will load the data.
