İngiliz Daily Mail gazetesinde yer alan haberde ABD'nin Los Angeles kentindeki bir huzurevinde kalan Simpson'ın ağır bunama hastası olduğu ve dolayısıyla bakıcılarının oğlu Jobs'un öldüğünü kendisine haber vermediği belirtildi. Oğlunu çok küçükken bir başka aileye evlatlık veren 79 yaşındaki Simpson ile Jobs'un hiçbir aile bağı bulunmuyordu.
