Host Integration Server 2004 sayesinde IBM mainframeleri ile üzerinde çalışan Microsoft Windows ortamlarındaki uygulamaları, mesajlaşma, veri kaynağı ve güvenlik sistemleri ilişkilendirmelerini yapabilir, sunucu özelliklerini farklı ağlarda tekrar kullanabilirsiniz.

You can leverage your existing host assets by using Host Integration Server 2004 to integrate your IBM mission-critical host applications, data sources, messaging and security systems with new solutions developed using the Microsoft Windows Server System platform.

Host Integration Server 2004 features include:

Streamlined Installation and Configuration

These new features make getting started with Host Integration Server 2004 much simpler.

Administration and Management

Familiar Microsoft Management Console-based administration for key components of Host Integration Server 2004.

Integration with Windows Server System

Host Integration Server 2004 is integrated with other Microsoft software products and technologies such as BizTalk Server 2004, Microsoft Office 2003 InfoPath, and Microsoft Commerce Server 2002 to create highly manageable, scalable, and reliable distributed applications that use existing host-based resources.

Extended IBM Host Integration Capabilities

The new Transaction Integrator (TI), formerly know as COMTI, has been enhanced to offer support for IBM AS/400 applications and IBM Mainframe CICS and IMS applications.

Extended Data Integration Capabilities

A new DB2 network protocol client (DRDA AR) over which the ODBC, OLE DB, and Managed data providers communicate with remote DB2 database servers, offers extended DB2 platform support as well as optimized functionality and scalability.

Integrated Development Environment

Transaction Integrator and the Managed Provider for DB2 allow enterprise developers to work within the integrated development of Visual Studio.NET 2003, to allow for creation of new XML Web Service and other solutions built on the Microsoft .NET Framework.

Enhanced Network Consolidation

The core network integration portion of Host Integration Server 2004 has been extended to offer an IP-DLC "Link Service" to enable Host Integration Server to participate in an IBM Enterprise Extender environment.

Scalability Services

Host Integration Server 2004 includes Clustering Services that support scaling the host access and integration solution up and out to address the volumes required by the largest enterprises.

Enhanced Security for Host Access

TN3270 Service support for Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) and Transport-Level Services (TLS) increases the overall security of the enterprise network when accessing mainframe resources through TCP/IP.

Single Sign-on Services

Support for Enterprise Single Sign-on (SSO) enables seamless integration of security credentials across Windows Active Directory and IBM host systems.

Automatic Password Synchronization

Enterprise SSO provides the base infrastructure that, along with third-party software products, provides for a secure password management solution including Windows-initiated and host-initiated password synchronization.

Microsoft Commerce Server, BizTalk Server, and Office 2003 Support
