Bu program ile bilgisayarınızın bir yedeğini alarak daha sonra çökme, sistem hatası yada sistemin aşırı yavaşlamasından dolayı format atma gereği duyduğunuzda, daha önce bu program ile sistemin istikrarlı bir şekilde çalıştığı anda aldığınız imaj, imdadınıza yetişecektir. Bu programın en büyük özelliklerinden biri ise sisteminizi eski haline döndürmek için diğer imaj alma programlarında olduğu gibi bir açılış disketine ihtiyaç duymaması, yani bilgisayarınıza herhangi bir anda oturum açıkken bu işlemi yapabilmeniz, siz başlatıyorsunuz ve o da formatlayıp yedek aldığınız hale döndürüyor. Ayrıca kullanıcı bir kaç değişiklik yaptığında bunu daha önce aldığı imaj dosyasına aktarmak istiyor ama baştan yapmak zor geliyorsa, bununla uğraşmak zorunda kalmıyor, programda bulunan doğrulama aracı ile daha önce aldığınız imaj ile sisteminizin şu anki durumunu karşılaştırıp, eksiklik ya da fazlalıkları imaj dosyasına ekliyor olması... Ve bir de güvenli disk alanı var, yani virüslerin bilgisayarınızın bir bölümünde bulunan imaj dosyanızın içine girmesini engellemek için oluşturulmuş başka bir ayrıntı... İyi kullanımlar... Sonuç olarak, böyle bir sorunla karşılaştığınızda yapılacak tek iş: yedeği hangi Acronis sürümüyle oluşturduysanız, o sürümü başka bir bilgisayara kurup, yeni bir başlatma CD'si oluşturmak ve bilgisayarınızı bununla başlatmak...
