Ability to control any ship: X4 will allow you to sit at the helm of any ship. From the smallest scouts, various middle-class ships and to huge aircraft carriers, you can fly yourself from behind the wheel in the cockpit, as well as from a third person. The main focus in working on the X4 was to move quickly and easily between your ships. You can leave the ship, go down the ladder, walk along the dock of the huge station to another ship parked there and replace the pilot, ordering you to give up the control chair.
Modular stations and ship upgrades: The foundation of the Universe X games has always been the construction of space stations. After receiving a sufficient amount of money in commerce or battles, many players want to begin to influence the economy of the game, as well as its universe on a larger scale. In X4 this is possible in a free and creative style. Stations can be created from a variety of modules, be it production modules, residential complexes, docks, or any other types of buildings. Leading your Empire with an advanced map: When you have enough ships and NPCs that work for you as pilots, crew or station managers, the map will be your main helper in managing them. Ships can be given an order with just one click of the mouse, and with the help of drag-and-drop operations, you can pave their future course. Clearly plan your trade routes, coordinate attacks with the help of your entire fleet, set up a hierarchy between ships, or send them to deep-space research.
The most detailed study of the economy in the X series: One of the main attractive features of the X series, has always been a detailed economy. Goods are produced at hundreds of stations and transported by thousands of ships, which are real NPCs. With their trade, they create the working economy of the game. This is the basis of our living and breathing universe. But now, in X4, we have advanced even further. For the first time, in the X series, all goods that are involved in the economy of NPCs are made from resources, ships, guns, ammunition and even stations - absolutely everything comes out of the working model of economy simulation.
Research and teleportation: Instant and imperceptible movement between ships and NPCs that take control of your empire will continue at an even higher level. As soon as you have a fleet, you can explore the new technology in your Headquarters - Teleportation. Once you unlock the teleportation, you will be able to move from ship to ship much faster and experience all the critical situations that occur with your NPC pilots. Any order that you gave to the ship before that will turn into a mission. But as soon as you leave the ship, the NPC pilot will take control of you and continue the mission.
Join the game: In X4, you can start playing using several game scenarios and different characters, each with their own role, a set of established relationships, as well as a ship and technology. No matter what you choose, you will always be free to develop as you wish. Focus on space exploration, making money on illegal trade or even stealing, commanding huge fleets or becoming the greatest entrepreneur. Only you decide.
