The software developer Toolchefs is pleased to announce the availability of Atoms Crowd 4.3.0. This release includes bug fixes and also new features and improvements.

This version of Atoms Crowd contains the following bug fixes and improvements.
Features and improvements:
- Atoms UI added support for folders in the Agent Type and Animation Clip tabs
- Added support for Python 3 in Houdini
- Renderman 24 support
- Vray 5 support
- Add runAtEvent attribute to the Behaviour Tree module
- Added GetAngleBetweenVectors, GetVectorLength, OffsetVector, RotateVector, ScaleVector Behaviour Tree nodes.
- Merge weight for clips can be driven by user metadata in the state machine
- AtomsHoudini cloth exporter: uses agentshapename attribute if the atoms_geoName attribute doesn't exist.
- AtomsHoudini cloth exporter: automatically replace '.' with '_' characters inside the geo name.
- AtomsHoudini cloth exporter: errors message printed inside the node instead of the console.
- AtomsHoudini: proxy node write agent metadata on the agent primitive also in skin mode.
Bug Fixes:
- ACS-318: can't init atoms on Atoms 4.1.2 in Maya prompt mode.
- ACS-320: Atoms UI error. Fixed runtime issue with pyqode editor.
- Fixed USD mesh loader for empty UV arrays.
Atoms Crowdis framework designed for crowd simulations for the visual effects and animation industries. Atoms is completely standalone tool that can easily be integrated into any 3D application and supports integration Autodesk Maya and Side FX Houdini. The framework allows for an easy change of data between the two 3D programs.
Atoms sets the focus of making crowd simulation easy no matter your skill level. The idea is that you don't need to be a technical artist or savvy with scripting to art direct crowd shots. The "democratization" of crowd simulation and other technically heavy effects sims has been an ongoing one. Others have brought simplicity into focus with products like Golaem Crowd for Maya.
