Mesela 25 byte lık bir dosya harddiskte ayırma birimi boyutunda yer kaplarayar saklanır... mesela 12 byte lık bir dosya 4 kb olarak saklanır.. ayırma birim boyutu yükseldikçe harddiske erişim daha hızlı olur.. mesela 512 byte seçersen eskiden 1 dosyanın yazıldığı yere şimdi 4 dosya yazılabilir.. ama bu dosyaya erişim yavaş olur..
