The featureset for this game was nailed down in December, but sometimes we go along at the pace of the real-life sport. Life sometimes imitates art!

* Transfers & Contracts � significant changes to the transfer and contract systems, including loyalty bonuses, better implementation of amateur and youth contracts, an improved transfer centre and the ability to lock areas of the contract negotiation when you aren�t prepared to budge. This helps you to manage your budgets and gives you flexibility in what you offer money hungry players, or agents, as incentives.
* Scouting improvements � using several real life scouting reports, a new in-game report has been devised which includes squad analysis, tactics information and information about goals scored and conceded alongside lots of other scouting improvements, giving you all the information you need to prepare before kick-off and throughout the season.
* 3D Match Improvements � new animations, a whole new crowd system, improved weather system, more stadiums, plus two brand new cameras � �Behind Goal� and �Director Cam� as well as all other camera angles being reversible � meaning you can watch and analyse every aspect of every game.
* Manage Anywhere, Anytime � the ability to add or take away playable nations in your saved game as often as you want. Manage in that country at the start of the next season- meaning you don�t have to stay in the nations which are chosen by you to be playable at the start of your career.
* Tone � a whole new level has been added to team talks and conversations, with the new tone system, which allows you to specify the way you want to say things � be as cool as a cucumber by saying things calmly or throw tea cups around by saying things with passion. There are 6 different tones to choose from with specific comments per tone.
* Intelligent Interface � a new adaptive layout system, which means the higher your screen resolution, the more info is easily at your fingertips. The new interface also contains new filters, customisable columns, a new tactics screen, and lots of new overview screens.
* Brand New Tutorial � standing separate from the main game, a mode to help new players find their way around the game easily, whilst also offering tips to experienced managers on how to get the most out of the game, as well as a new in-game �how to� system.

Manage Anywhere, Anytime - the ability to add or take away playable nations in your saved game as often as you want. Manage in that country at the start of the next season- meaning you dont have to stay in the nations which are chosen by you to be playable at the start of your career.
Tone - a whole new level has been added to team talks and conversations, with the new tone system, which allows you to specify the way you want to say things be as cool as a cucumber by saying things calmly or throw tea cups around by saying things with passion.
There are 6 different tones to choose from with specific comments per tone.
Intelligent Interface - a new adaptive layout system, which means the higher your screen resolution, the more info is easily at your fingertips. The new interface also contains new filters, customisable columns, a new tactics screen, and lots of new overview screens.
Brand New Tutorial - standing separate from the main game, a mode to help new players find their way around the game easily, whilst also offering tips to experienced managers on how to get the most out of the game, as well as a new in-game how to system.

Çıkış tarihinden ziyade, oyundaki yenilikler merak ediliyordu doğal olarak. SI Games, bu konuda eskisine göre daha sessiz kalmayı tercih etti diyebiliriz.Oyun açılışın da sizi kırmızı ağırlıklı, şık bir tema bekliyor. Ayrıca siyah bir tema daha var arzu ederseniz. Ana Menüde tutorial bölümünde oyun ile ilgili öğretici bölümler mevcut. Oyuna başlamadan önce 1 kere göz atmanızda fayda var. Adapte olmanıza yardımcı olacaktır.

Ne yazık ki, Football Manager 2012'de de Türkçe dil seçeneği yok. Bu konuda uzun süre bekleyeceğiz gibi gözüküyor. Ligleri seçip, bilgileri doldurma ekranı alıştığımız şekilde. Twitter ve Youtube eklentisi, FM 11'de ki gibi aynı şekilde unutulmamış.

Eski FM serilerinde, yeni oyun açtığımızda belirli ligleri seçip kariyerimize başlıyorduk ve bu seçtiğimiz liglerin dışına çıkamıyorduk. Ama FM 12'de bu sorun ortadan kalkmış durumda. Sorun diyorum çünkü, oyunda bana göre en büyük eksikliklerden birisiydi bu. Artık yeni oyun açtığınızda kariyeriniz devam ederken istediğiniz ligleri, istediğiniz zaman ekleyebiliyorsunuz. Şüphesiz, bu özellik oyun zevkini katlayacaktır. Oyundaki en büyük yeniliklerden birisi bu diyebilirim. Bütün takımı karşınıza alıp konuştugunuzda, yaptığınız konuşma ile ilgili oyuncularınızdan reaksiyon alıyorsunuz. Oyuncularınız sizinle fikirlerini ve sorularını paylaşıyor. Bir nevi Fatih Terim gibi, ''Göreyim benim aslanlarımı, Allah yardımcınız olsun!'' deyip, oyuncularınızı gaza getirmeniz mümkün. Maç öncesi sakin olarak başlayan konuşmanızı, ilk yarı işler iyi gitmediği zaman agresifleştirip, sertleştirebilirsiniz. Nabza göre şerbet durumu söz konusu yani. İlk yarıda yakaladığı pozisyonları değelendiremeyen forvetinize, ''İyi oynuyorsun, sadece şanssızdın'' diyebiliyorsunuz. Bunu söylediğiniz oyuncunuz 2. yarıda golünü atıp size maçı kazandırabiliyor. Ama dikkatli olmakta fayda var terste tepebilir konuşmalarınız. Bütün takımı karşınıza alıp konuşup, hedeflerinizden bahsettiğiniz zaman oyuncularınızın reaksiyonu anında size yansıyor. FM 2011'de ki gibi, bazı menajerlerin size kendi oyuncularını önermesi durumu FM 2012'de de mevcut. Menajerler önerdikleri oyuncunun istatistiki bilgilerinide size sunuyorlar önerirken. Size sunulan takım ve gözlem raporlarında gelişmeler var. Takımı çok daha iyi yönetmenizi ve nokta transferler yapmanıza yardımcı olacaktır. Oyuncu arama bölümüne takımınızın mevcut transfer ve maaş bütçesi eklenmiş. Bütçenize göre oyuncular bakabiliyorsunuz. Size sunulan gözlemci raporlarını belirli kriterlere göre sıralayabiliyorsunuz. Gözlemcilerine oyuncu aratma seçeneklerinde de çeşit artmış. 5 yıldızlı derecelendirme sistemine göre, gözlemcinize oyuncu aramasını söyleyebiliyorsunuz.

Taktikler
Backroom advice'de, teknik ekibiniz size oyuncular ve takım ile ilgili önemli tavsiyelerde bulunuyordu. Takıma alacağınız antrenörler sayesinde idmanlarda defansif ve ofansif anlamda daha fazla yarar sağlamanız ve bunu tablolarla görmeniz mümkün. Açıkcası FM 2011'de öneriler hep tek tip oluyordu. Oyuncular değişse bile, öneri tarzı tek tipti diyebilirim. FM 2012'de bu konuda biraz gelişme mevcut. Daha iyi ve yararlı öneriler alıyorsunuz ekibinizden. Ayrıca, aldığınız kararları sorgulayadabiliyorlar. Takım raporları konusunda da iyileştirmeler mevcut. Oyuncular gibi, takımları da karşılaştırabiliyorsunuz. Taktik konusunda normal taktiğiniz dışında ikide yedek taktik ayarlayıp, bunları maçın gidişatına göre değiştirmeniz mümkün. Takımınızın yeni taktiğinizinize alışma süreci ve taktiksel başarı grafik şeklinde eklenmiş. Yeni taktiğinizde, takım çalışmasınamı yoksa atak organizasyonlarınamı ağırlık vereceğiniz size kalmış. Maç içerisinde de oyuncularınıza hızlı talimatlar vermeniz mümkün. Ayrıca, gene duran top organizasyonlarını istediğiniz gibi ayarlayabiliyorsunuz.

Fooball Manager'i bize hayran bırakan, oyunda bu denli vakit geçirmemizin en büyük sebeplerinden birisi de gerçekçilik, futbolcuların yeteneklerinin oyuna iyi aktarılması diyebiliriz. Bu konuda kötü bir örnek vermek gerekirse, Madridli Benzema'nın teknik, atak ve yaratıcılık konusunda Portolu Hulk'tan çok daha iyi olması. Özellikle son senelere bakarsak, Hulk ve Benzema'nın neler yaptığı malum. Bence tam tersi olmalıydı. Ayrıca, bazı yerlerde anlamsız takılmalar ve geri dönüşlerde ağırlaşmalar mevcut. 3D maç motorunda tribünler konusunda daha fazla yenilikler yapılabilirdi. Oynadığım hazırlık maçlarında tribünlerden dumanların yükselmesi dikkatimden kaçmadı. Meşale ya da sigaraydı çok dikkat edemedim. İleride bayrak şov hatta koreografi eklenebilir belkide tribünler için.

Football Manager 2012'nin, 21 Ekim günü çıkacağı açıklanmıştı. Açıkçası, oyun ile ilgili güzel iyileştirmeler mevcut. Oyundan daha fazla zevk alma ve içinizdeki Mourinho'yu çıkarma adına taktik, gözlem ve iletişim konusundaki yenilikler göze çarpıyor. Bu şekilde devam ettiği takdirde, 3D maç motorunun 2-3 sene içinde çok daha iyi olacağını düşünüyorum. Bunların dışında çok fazla göze çarpan bir yenilik yok.

Oyunun çıkmasına 1 aylık bir süre var. Halen takım toplantıları, futbolcu tepki - davranışları üzerinde ayarlamalar yapılmakta ve daha çok tepki eklenmeye devam ediliyor. Transfer merkezi, tutorial bölümü, maç motoru ve maç motorundaki grafik seviyeleri halen üzerinde çalışma yapılan bölümler. Lig Ekleme-Çıkarma, transfer-sözleşmeler ve Personel tavsiyeleri yoğun şekilde teste tabi tutuluyor. Bunlar ve diğer sorunlar oyun çıkana kadar düzeltilecektir. FM 2012 ön inceleme versiyonunu inceledim. Oyun çıkana kadar başka yenilikler de gelebilir. Hataları da ortadan kaldıracaklardır.
