Açılıştaki güzel tasarlanmış banknotlardan oluşan menünün ardından karakterimizi seçip oyuna başlıyoruz. Üç adet karakter var; Mattias Nilsson, Jennifer Mui ve Chris Jacobs. Seçiminiz konuyu ve gidişatı direk etkilemiyor. Kendi aralarında çok az farklar var. Jennifer diğerlerine göre daha hızlı koşarken Mattias�ın sağlığı ötekilerden daha hızlı doluyor. Anlayacağınız tamamen göz zevkinizle alakalı bir seçim bu. Seçtiğiniz tipe göre diyaloglarda ufak değişiklikler oluyor o kadar. Konu ise neredeyse yok gibi bir şey. Adına iş yaptığımız Ramon Solano para vereceği yerde bizi öldürmeye kalkınca, bir paralı asker olarak içimiz intikam duygusuyla doluyor, kendi takımımızı kurmak için yerel gerillalara ve devlet adına çalışmaya başlıyoruz.

Önümüzde koskoca bir harita ve tek yardımcımız var. İlerlemek için para kazanmak, çevre yapmak ve takıma sizi daha çok güçlendirecek yardımcılar almak gerekiyor. Oyunun başında direk her yere gitmek mümkün değil. Fakat bu süreç çok kısa birkaç görevden sonra harita yavaş yavaş açılıyor. Yanınızda bulunan cep bilgisayarı yardımı ile nerede neler olduğunu, insanların size göre görevi olup olmadığını ve oradan alışveriş yapılabildiğini görmek mümkün. Oynanış temel olarak gidip bir gruptan görev alıp yerine getirmek, karşılığında para ve teçhizatlara ulaşabilme hakkı kazanmak üzerine kurulu. Haritanın her kısmı belli kişilerin elinde ve kime çalıştığını burada önem kazanıyor. İsteklerini gerçekleştirip dost olduğunuz gruba düşman olanlar otomatikman size de düşman oluyor. Onlara ait topraklardan geçerken ateş açıyor, hatta kullandığınız araçları bile parçalayabiliyorlar.

Paranın dışında bir diğer önemli gereç ise yakıt. Yaptığınız alışverişler ardından bilgisayarınıza eklenen araçları, silahları ve hava desteğini yakıt miktarınız ile kullanabiliyorsunuz. Eski oyunda düzen daha kullanışlıydı. İlerledikçe kullanabilecekleriniz açılıyor para karşılığı direk o an alabiliyordunuz. Burada ise önce alışveriş yapacağınız yer için görev yapmak, daha sonra istediklerinizi satın alıp depoya kaldırmanız, ardından da yeterli yakıtınız var ise kullanabiliyorsunuz. Seçenekler ise oldukça genişletilmiş. Onlarca hava destek saldırısı, tank savar roketler, binalar için uçuk güçlü bombalar, denizde kullanmak için küçük jet-skilerden roketlere sahip botlara, çeşit çeşit tanklar ve helikopterler mevcut. Sadece satın alarak değil normal sokakta gördüğünüz tankları, uçan helikopterleri çalabilme gibi bir şansınızda var. Buralarda araya kısa mini oyunlar giriyor. Ekranda çıkan tuşlara zamanında basabilirseniz başarılı oluyorsunuz.

Oyuna yegane değer katan şey bu sipariş üzerine kullanabildiğiniz araçlar ve destekler. Fakat ilk oyuna göre menüler biraz karışık ve sıkıcı olmuş. Aynı anda sadece 3 gerece anlık ulaşabiliyorsunuz. Bir nevi favori listesi oluşturuyor ve onlar arasından hızlıca seçim yapıyorsunuz...

Yüzüklerin Efendisi denince aklımıza; muhteşem savaş sahneleri, mükemmel görsel efektler, kendimizi kaptırdığımız bir senaryo ve Electronic Arts gelir. Böylesine mükemmel bir seneryonun oyunu olmasa olmazdı elbet, ancak bu kadar güzel filme değerini göstermeyen oyunlar beklemezdik. EA Yüzüklerin Efendisi adı altında çıkarttığı oyunlarda başarısızlığı yüzünden sürekli eleştirildi. Hatta filmin adı altında yaptığı projeyi iptal bile etti (White Counchil). Ama EA yılmıadı ve bizlere filmin tüm bölümlerinde geçecek olan, oldukça iddialı bir oyun duyurdu; The Lord Of The Rings: Conquest

Beklentimiz Boşa Çıkar mı?

Star Wars: Battlefront (2004-2005) ve Mercenaries (2005) gibi oyunlardan hatırladığımız Pandemic Studios EA gibi oyun hakkında oldukça iddalı konuşuyor. Şimdi isterseniz oyunda bizleri neler bekliyor onlara bir göz atalım. Serinin tüm büyük savaşlarını oynama şansına erişeceğimiz oyunda, istersek kötü tarafta (Sauron, Saruman, Balrog), istersek iyi tarafta yer alabileceğiz. Filmden tanıdığımız ünlü karakterler ile omuz omuza dövüşeceğimiz sahnelerin olduğunu, Gandalf ile Balroga Burdan Asla Geçemezsiiinnnn diyebileceğimizi de ekleyeyim. Pandemicin söylediğine göre oyunda en çok üstüne düştükleri kısım kullanacak olduğumuz silahlar. Bu konuda oldukça iyi geliştirmeler olduğunu söyleyen yapımcılar; kılıç kullanırken, ok atarken ve büyü yaparken gerçekçiliği en üst safhada tutacaklarını söylüyorlar.

LOTR:Cda hikaye tek bir karakter üzerine değil, bizim seçtiğimiz herhangi sınıftan bir karakter ile oynanacak. Tabii oyunda Aragorn, Gandalf, Legolas gibi ünlü karakterleri de yönetebileceğiz. Warrior, Rogue, Scout ve Mage sınıflarından oluşacak olan oyunda, sınıf değiştirmeye de olanak sağlanmış. Aslında buradan oyunun FPS/RPG tarzı olabileceği de tahmin edilebilir. Multiplayer modu üzerinde de çalışan yapımcılar, kooperatif modu ve Ring Bearer modu ile eğlenceli dakikalar yaşatacaklarından emin gibiler. Ring Bearer modunu açıklayacak olursak; bir taraf yüzük taşıyıcısı olacak, karşı taraf ise yüzüğü almaya çalışan taraf olup (Simeegoo) peşlerinden koşacak (Midtown Madness oyununda altın kapma oyunu gibi). Videolara bakınca gayet güzel grafiklere sahip olacağı görünen oyunu dört gözle bekliyoruz. Oyunun orijinal müziklerinin bizlere eşlik edeceğini, bizleri gayet güzel motive edeceğini düşünürsek, güzel bir yapımla karışabiliriz...
