Dark Intervals Deep Blue KONTAKT | 3.99 Gb DEEP BLUE is instrument based on lush and ambient sounding pads. All samples are made with hardware synths. Patches are programmed on synth, sampled, and mapped into Kontakt. This instrument has one specific workflow on mind, which is building the harmonic structure of you musical piece in which you can separately control bass (layer A), and pad (layer B). Basically it is mapped as a split keyboard with 2 different layers :A-Bass and B-Synth (pad, sequence or cluster). Tweaking options are limited but highly functional. We assembled six performers and 40 boxes of different shapes and sizes in a concert hall, and curated 13 unique ensembles rag from large to small boxes with a range of stick types and performance techniques. The sound of Box Factory is familiar, yet totally unique. It is presented in a way that will feel at home if you've used any other percussion library - you can approach in the same way as you would toms, taikos and snares - yet it offers a certain organic, raw and tactile sound that is unlike any conventional percussion instrument. Whether used as the sole percussion instrument in a composition (as is the case with all the demo tracks on this page), or layered with other drums, the diverse tones and flexible sound-shaping controls offered by Box Factory will be an essential sonic ingredient for anyone looking to freshen up their percussion palette. The Sound We returned to the same concert hall where we recorded Glacier Keys, Frozen Percussion, Dulciano, and many others. Using a selection of 32 top shelf microphones from Neumann, Coles, DPA and Senheiser, we captured the ensembles from multiple perspectives in the room. From these recordings, we created four distinct mixes - Natural, Aggressive, Gritty, and Snappy - giving you a diverse palette of sounds to complement any musical style. Natural - This mix is the closest sound to the source recordings. With just some gentle processing to enhance and polish the raw recordings, the Natural mix is perfect for those situations where an organic, un-hyped sound is required. Aggressive - With a carefully selected processing chain, the Aggressive mix turns up the heat and adds some extra dirt and girth. The heavy compression and saturation in this mix bring out the ambience in the room mics, and this can be manipulated further with the 'Punch' and 'Decay Trim' controls to yield a wide range of results. Gritty - This mix chain uses some pretty unusual processes (including running the signal through a bass amp!), and offers a very powerful sound with some real mojo, and a particular emphasis on the mid-range. The Gritty mix is our personal favourite. Snappy - While the Aggressive and Gritty mixes are focused on hyping the raw recordings so they sound larger than life, the Snappy mix is the opposite. Sonixinema Brute Flute : 2.87GB True Legato and Rare Contrabass Flute Textures A first in cinematic sampling, Brute Flute is a Contrabass Flute library like no other. Recorded in exceptional detail and capturing a range of cinematic textures, harmonic embellishments, explosive articulations and an expressive true legato, this wonderful library features a highly unique and inspiring set of sounds. The third release in our brand new Experiments range, this library was performed by renowned flautist Gareth Mclearnon, who is known for his virtuosic performances across blockbusters such as Alien Covenant, Horizon Zero Dawn, Mary Magdalene and many more. The library was recorded on a dry scoring stage in the heart of London, using some of the best microphones to capture every nuance of Gareth's captivating performances. Working in close collaboration with virtuoso flutist Gareth Mclearnon, we spent weeks curating a list of rare and experimental Contrabass Flute techniques to create a library like no other. Capturing a huge range of never before sampled cinematic textures, harmonic embellishments, explosive articulations and true legato, we explored brand new territory and discovered the true potential of this magnificent instrument. Usually found within an orchestral setting, in recent years the contrabass flute has been used by innovative film composers such as Johann Johannsson and Jed Kurzel to create unique and intriguing sonic worlds. The textures that we captured from the contrabass flute are unique to this instrument, and many of them can't be performed in the same way on a regular concert flute or a bass flute. Gareth brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table, and is known to be one of the most in demand and exciting flutists of his generation. The flute itself was handmade by Eva Kingma, a premium quality flute maker specialising in Alto, Bass and Contrabass flutes, and was designed exclusively for Gareth. To capture Gareth's performance on this magnificent instrument, we chose a dry scoring stage in the heart of London. We thought this was important as we wanted to record every nuance in intimate detail, providing clean and flexible recordings that can be used for an upfront, aggressive sound, or manipulated afterwards to create a spacious, cinematic sound. We recorded multiple microphone perspectives such as Close Mono, Close Stereo, Mid Stereo and Far Stereo, and used top quality microphones such as the Beyer M160, AKG C414, Neumann U87 and Neumann TLM103. 1.71 GB CineBrass Horns of the Deep is an extension of our CineBrass family also recorded at MGM Studios. Consisting of 3 Tubas and 3 Euphonium in unison, it is a simple, warm low brass library. It can be a smooth, sonorous alternative timbre to French Horns, and it can provide warmth and depth in unison with the Trombone section. CineBrass Horns of the Deep is 3 Tubas and 3 Euphonium performing in unison. The UI features the familiar CineSymphony mixer, microphone positions, EQ, panning, and reverb. The 2 green key switches are for doubled and tripled staccato notes as seen in other CineSymphony libraries. The Mapping Tab allows full customisation of the articulations. By default, the sustain pedal plays monophonic legato transitions. The mod wheel adjusts the dynamics. Without the sustain pedal, velocity controls the dynamics of staccato samples. Also by default, the ACCENT OVERLAY is on to provide an accent to the beginning of legato passages. ACCENTED LEGATO is also on to provide an accent on all subsequent notes within a legato passage. In this case, the velocity threshold that must be met is 100. You may turn these features off and adjust the overlay volume. The Settings Tab provides LEGATO and DYNAMICS control. Here you may turn off legato for chordal playing. The Tubas and Euphonium performed just to the right of the typical placement of the French Horn platform, still left of center. This position allows for a nice stereo pairing with the Trombone section that typically sits to the right.
