Created with the needs of the working composer in mind and featuring an easy to use interface. About this module: Recorded in the same hall as our grand Storm Choir 2 and AMS Brass libraries this flute ensemble is a must have for any composer writing orchestral music out there. Offering four different mic positions (close, decca, outrigger, balcony), three dynamic layers, true legato, overblown leg sustains and up to 7 Round Robin samples on the Staccatos this library has everything you need to write complex and good sounding flute lines. This library again stands as a perfect example of our sampling philosophy to not put a huge amount of post processing into the samples, but emphasizing the live character of the incredible talented Bulgarian musicians we had the honour of working together with. Strezov Sampling The Felt Seiler Pro KONTAKT | 8.69 Gb If a picture is truly worth a thousand words, we think of THE FELT SEILER in the same way, only in a musical context, instead - you can convey so many different emotions only with a few strokes of your hands. Nothing too complex or "puffy", yet powerful and moving enough to allow you to express yourself freely, with nothing holding you back. The content of the library was recorded in the Sofia Session Studio B with a number of close microphones, later summed into one microphone position. Along with that, The Felt Seiler contains 3 more synth/sound design layers for you to choose from, which will help you shape a unique sound. We've named those three layers based on the mood that feels closest to the way they sound - Warmth, Ache and Loneliness. For all 3 of those, you have the option to Purge (the ON/OFF button on top of the volume slider), Solo or Mute each of the layers. In addition, you can adjust the volume and the stereo width, and designate different outputs for each microphone position if you needed. We've also added a "reverse" option (the circular button depicting a reversed "play" symbol), which allows you to play any of the sound design layers backwards, adding even more options to create different music textures and colors. In the center of the GUI you will find the "Soft" and "Sustain" buttons. The "Sustain" button by default is linked to your piano's sustain pedal, as you would expect and when pressed the sustain samples will be played. However, by clicking on the button in the GUI you will allow for all available sustain samples to be played. We've also sampled the Felt Seiler with the Soft pedal pressed and that mode can be activated by clicking on the "Soft" button on the interface. That sound is more quiet, even softer as the dampers in the piano are closer to the strings, there are less vibrations, which in turn results in that warmer, delicate piano sound. Musical Sampling Boutique Drums Penny KONTAKT | 6.84 GB Penny is the third release in our Boutique Drums Series and arguably the most vibey and versatile thus far. We initially sought to create a kit that paid homage to the tighter rock drum mixes popularized in the 60's and 70's. We covered the toms and snare with cloth to dampen the decay/ring-out and incorporated some vintage mics used in that period alongside our modern array of microphones and gear. After curating a kit with some beautiful and rare custom pieces, extensively sampling each drum, mixing the snot out of it and programming Penny to a tee - what we end up with is an instrument that suits far more musical contexts than we initially anticipated. Pretty cool stuff. As per usual, we incorporated our repetition sampling techniques for realistic successive notes with the hi-hats and toms and six different hi-hat groove states that you can easily crossfade between for maximum expression. We consulted with our drummer Brian Scoggin (Casting Crowns) who curated a kit comprised of truly boutique drum pieces for this release. We also chose to record at Hey Hey Studios in Griffin, Georgia for it's outstanding acoustics and engineering; a remarkable space providing a tasteful balance of both room and character. Each of the eight mixes were created from scratch using an arsenal of processing tools, both hardware and software. We chose to develop the presets outside of Kontakt to deliver what we felt were precision mixes with the right amount of punch, balance and vibe while providing just enough headroom to treat well to additional processing. Under the hood, Ruby also alternates between two different sets of hi-hat/ride multisamples; depending on how quickly you hit successive notes for the given articulation. The initial hit triggers the isolated sample while subsequent hits trigger repetition samples. We've included five different hi-hat states of multisamples and live eighth-note grooves that automatically lock to your DAW's tempo: tight, normal, slight-open, mid-open and all-open; grooves recorded at 90/120/140 BPM. We've also developed what we consider to be a first - crossfadeable hi-hat grooves with release triggers. With the modwheel down, it'll play the loop at it's tightest hi-hat state. As you push the modwheel up, the hi-hat opens up. It's pretty dang cool.
