Display Driver Uninstaller is a driver removal utility that can help you completely uninstall AMD/NVIDIA graphics card drivers and packages from your system, without leaving leftovers behind (including registry keys, folders and files, driver store). The AMD/NVIDIA video drivers can normally be uninstalled from the Windows Control panel, this driver uninstaller program was designed to be used in cases where the standard driver uninstall fails, or anyway when you need to thoroughly delete NVIDIA and ATI video card drivers. This tool act similar to what Driver sweeper do + the extra mentioned above. If you have problem installing older driver or newer one, give it a try as there are some reports that it fix thoses problems. For best results, it is advisable to disconnect from the Internet while uninstalling the drivers, so as to make sure your OS does not automatically download and re-install the driver. WHY USE THIS TOOL: -Help people with problem upgrading to newer driver because of some odd corruption / registry error and by so having some chance to prevent a system reinstall. -People who always like it clean. -Avoid known conflict like the recent one with AMD and their OpenCL driver resulting in a crash with some OpenCL application. Recommended Usage: -The tool can be used in Normal mode but for absolute stability when using DDU, Safemode is always the best and using the button#2 (Clean+restart) are the recommended options. - Make a RESTORE POINT (quite important) just in case... - I would like to gather feedback from you guys because its the first release so there might be bug and also risk so make a backup or a system restore (but it should normally be pretty safe). -For people with driver problem, if this tool gave you any success into fixing some issue you are currently experiencing, please share your result. -You do NOT need to uninstall the driver before using DDU. -I would like to gather feedback from you guys. Fixed a bug that could cause some other device to get removed. Thanks to "Extraordinary" for the time he took with me testing. Added a warning messagebox to warn the user of the DDU automatic boot into safemode. Do not check for removing the Upperfilter of Nvidia Optimus when Cleaning AMD videocards.. Updated driverfiles.cfg for the Catalyst 14.4 RC1 release. A little more cleaning on the AMD side. (almost perfect already tho.) Log is cleaner now. Fixed a possible hang in the nVidia Optimus cleaning section. Korean Language update.
