Gelen ve giden faksların elektronik ortamda olmasını sağlayan bir ürün. Yaptığı iş ağ ortamında gelen faksların bir faks sunucusuna gelmesini ve bu faks sunucusunda toplanan tüm faksların ilgili kişiye elektronik ortamda gönderilmesini sağlamak. Bu ürün özellikle bir ağ yapısında çalışan müşteriler için tasarlandığından birden fazla bilgisayara ve sunucuya kurulabiliyor. Gelen fakslar bir "gelenler" kutusuna düşüyor. Daha sonra kime gönderilmesi gerekiyorsa ona gönderebiliyorsunuz. Ürün Microsoft ürünleri ile uyum içerisinde çalışıyor. Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows XP, Windows 2000 veya Windows 2003 Server , Vista , Windows 2008 Server üzerinde çalışabiliyor. Güvenilir, akılcı ve kolay kullanılabilir bir faxserver yazılımı olan Vogler firmasının faxserver çözümü olan Actfax'ın başlıca özelliklerini şöyle sıralayabiliriz. Kullanıcı makinelerine yazıcı olarak yüklendiğinden ?yazdır? komutunun çalıştığı tüm dosyaları faks çekebiliyorsunuz. Örnek: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Photoshop, Wordpad, Notepad ve her türlü Windows uyumlu muhasebe programınız. Logo, Eta, Link gibi birçok muhasebe programı ile beraber çalışabilir. Böylece tüm ekstrelerinizi istediğiniz anda herhangi ek bir şeye ihtiyacınız olmadan faks çekebilirsiniz.. Faksı istediğiniz zaman diliminde göndermeye ayarlayabilirsiniz. Türkçe karakter sorunu yaşanmıyor. Kullanıcı arayüzü ile çok kolay kullanım avantajları, Geniş API kütüphanesi sayesinde her türlü yazılıma uygunluğu, Client programında gelen faxlara anında müdahele ederek üzerinde değişiklik yapabilirsiniz. Coverpage designer programı ile yeni ve çok çeşitli profesyonel ön kapak tasarımı yapabilme,Actfax LCR özelliği ile ekonomik fax yollama, Bilenen tüm fax modemleri destekler. (Fax class 1, 2 and 2.0) ISDN adapters ve Brooktrout ve Intel/Dialogic fax kartlarını destekler. Limitsiz modem giriş özelliği vardır. Fax Dosyaları : Şirketinizde bulunan fax servera istediğiniz yerden TCP/IP ile ulaşabiliyorsunuz. Tüm faxları görebilir veya fax gönderebilirsiniz. Üst katta, altta veya uzak ofiste olmanız önemli değildir. TCP/IP üzerinden haberleşebildiğiniz için her yerden ulaşabilirsiniz. Faksı kullanacak kişileri belirleyebilir. Bu kişilere gelen faksları görme, faks gönderme gibi çeşitli yetkiler verebilirsiniz. Gelen veya giden faks işlemleri ile ilgili olay tanımlayabilme (Print, e-mail vs..) Parametre Ayarları : Gelen veya giden faks işlemleri ile ilgili olay tanımlayabilme (Print, e-mail vs..) Unix, Linux veya Mainframeler üzerindende faks çekebilirsiniz. LPD/LPR portları üzerinden faks çekilebilir. FTP , Telnet üzerinden faks çekilebilir. Telefon Rehberi : Exchange tarafında tanımlanan kullanıcı listesine Actfax ile entegre olup kullanmak mümkündür. Outlook ve Outlook Express adres defterinden tüm adresleri alabilme özelliğine sahiptir. Mesajınızı Microsoft'un herhangi bir programı üzerinde yazabilirsiniz; Word, Excel ya da Wordpad hiç fark etmiyor. Yazıcı çıktısı alınan tüm programlardan faks gönderme özelliği mevcuttur. Hatta kaçı gönderildi, kaçı beklemede tarzında raporlar alabiliyorsunuz. Ayrıca bankalar gibi kurumlar için Least Cost Routing (LCR) özelliği çok yararlı olabilir. Bu özellik sayesinde eğer mevcut bir leased line hattınız varsa fakslarınızı farklı bir şehirdeki ofisinize İnternet üzerinden gönderip daha sonra faksların oradaki sunucu üzerinden gönderilmesini sağlayabiliyorsunuz. Bu da maliyetleri düşüren bir özellik. Yönetici Ayarları : Kullanıcılar birbirinden farklı arayüzleri kullanmayı öğrenmek zorunda kalmıyorlar. Şirketlere özel sayfa tasarımları yapılabiliyor. İstenirse standart logoların veya yazıların olduğu sayfalar hazırlayabiliyorlar. Gelen faksların elektronik ortamda gelmesinden dolayı da gerekmedikçe kağıt çıktısı almıyorsunuz ve bu sayede büyük miktarda kağıt tasarrufu sağlanıyor. Fakslarınızı gönderilen yere, numaraya, zamana, tarihe, gidiş tarihi ve zamanına veya geliş tarihi veya zamanına göre sıralayabilirsiniz.
