Sistemin 5.10.20 LTS Linux çekirdeğine dayalı olarak geldiği bildirilirken, projenin, dağıtımın adını SystemRescueCd’den SystemRescue’ye yeniden adlandırdığı hatırlatılıyor. XFCE masaüstü ortamının 4.16 sürümüyle kullanıma sunulan sistem; parted-3.4, gparted-1.2.0, btrfs-progs 5.10.1, xfsprogs 5.10.0, e2fsprogs 1.46.2, Python 3.9.2, nwipe-0.30, dislocker-0.7.3, fsarchiver-0.8.6 gibi güncel paketlerle geliyor. Sisteme, bir güvenlik duvarının arkasında uzaktan ssh erişimi elde etmek için reverse_ssh eklenmiş bulunuyor. SystemRescue’nin hem amd64 hem de i686 varyantlarında kullanılmaya devam ettiği ifade ediliyor. Sistem; ArchLinux’a dayanıyor ve archiso ve bağımlılıklarını kullanılarak inşa edilmiş bulunuyor.
